I'm going to drog this morning, which is a word I made up. Drunk blogging, though I am not drunk, only sleep deprived and hepped out on cold medicine. And prescription tranquilizers but HEY, we all do what we need to get by.
I can not believe the QUALITY of the people who attend and comment on my blog. The realism running through you, the intelligence. Your comments are so...well you care about your world, the tiny place my thoughts have in it, and you think. It is so rare to find a pat little catch-all in my comment section, a LOL ur so funny! Thank you. You offer sensible, thought out advice and observations. I want you all to have my bone marrow should you need it.

I, for one, am equally appreciative of you and your responses to my posts. It's wonderful to know that I'm writing for more than the satisfaction of seeing a "published" version of my thoughts. Our simultaneous actions of reading and writing in response to each other's blogs as they unfold on a daily basis allows us to co-construct a social reality whereby we witness another dimension of what it means to be human.

I have been away for the weekend and just caught up. A couple things...first, hell yes, it's boring being a mom. At least for the first couple years. One time I was with my family (and year old son) on a vacation for a few days. My son spent THREE HOURS crying as I held him in the bathroom (we had eight of us in two adjoining hotel rooms) at 2 AM. All I wanted to do was pinch his leg soooo hard. But I didn't! I just fantasized about it :) I think being a good mom doesn't mean you don't WANT to stick them in a burlap bag and duct tape it shut, you just DON'T. Now, he's ten, and we talk and laugh and argue. Some days are good and some are bad. I guess I've realized, it's the same as before I ever had a kid. Equal mix - joy and sorrow. Also, I totally get the porn thing. Good post. And, we are (many of us) in the same blog tribe. It's nice. Which kind of leads me into the political thing. I'd vote for someone in my tribe, and I'd short sheet the bed of the guy in the other tribe. And politically, it's the fella/gal who supports most of the issues I find crucial. So, can you just please vote for Obama? :)
