The Weird Kid

I would like to remove the pixilation...I really would but don't know how.

So, I'm not a meme sort of girl. I mean it's a total honor to be tagged, but then it gets complicated with link backs and maybe the meme is a not-too-thoughtful questionnaire that asks my favorite toothpaste....So in fairness I can't tag others, though I really want to today.

So...just answer my kick-ass questions here. Unless you wanna do it at your place.

1. Have you ever been hit in anger by someone who about your same size?

2. Worst Grade School Memory?

3. First celebrity crush? (see above for Imez's, age 7.)

4. Some not in your family (and who didn't do abuse-level damage), that you have still never forgiven?

5. Someone you never said thank you to?

I hadn't been in blogland for a few days and I needed to catch up. I love your "hobby" post. I would be so stupidly excited to find a ceramic frog in a tree if I was ten (or now). And I completely understand the touching of old things. I do it too. Even proud to say I've never been caught and scolded. Although that would be kind of fun too.

Okay. This is fun.

1. I've never been hit by anyone.
2. Hands down, it was in the 6th grade when these two girls managed to turn literally everyone against me, with the exception of 4 people. Including teachers. I was made fun of, had things thrown at me, called names, chased, and completely ostracized. Until my parents put in a pool. Suddenly, I became the cool kid. And I was too stupid to realize how sh*tty that really was.
3. The first one I really remember was John Travolta in Welcome Back, Kotter. ;)
4. I'd say the girls that put me through hell in 6th grade.
5. My yearbook advisor in high school. We had an argument over some silly deadline, I told her to get over the fact that I wasn't perfect and I stormed out of her kitchen. She died two weeks later. I should have thanked her for caring about me. I named my first daughter after her, and thanked her husband, but it just wasn't the same.

And your answers???

1.) yes

2.) Miss Whitney trying to mindfuck me when i was in the 4th grade. Not an even match.

3.) Who knew Spock was HUNG!

4.) There are a few. Mostly i am not angry, i just remember who they really are.

5.) Too many to name. Thank you Keith, thank you Debbie, thank you Millie, thank you Barb, thank you Allie, thank you Doug, thank you Sanjay, thank you........

1) No, and I've never hit anyone else, either

2) Can't remember a particular one, but I think they all sucked

3) Sean Cassidy

4) I try not to hold grudges

5) Dr. Brindamoor in high school, he really made a difference in my life

I know, all pretty boring stuff.

1. Yes. Too many broken ribs and jaws to count (I grew up in a "bad" neighborhood).

2. The day someone threw up in the school bus ("Spaghetti Day" and I still can't handle the smell of Parmesan)...then another...and another...until, well, I heaved all over meself.

3. Audrey Hepburn (and, yes, I still carry a torch for her).

4. I forgive others always. Myself never.

5. Giving thanks is easy. I am a most grateful sort.

you might've thought i was australian because my blog title is "aussie259772", but it's only "aussie" because i used to want to live in australia, not because i do currently.

were you confused because you don't have green-bean casserole at your thanksgiving? apparently not a lot of people do, but my family always has...or was it because you were confused at what was real and what was dream?

1) i've only been hit once, but he was bigger than me, not my same size at all
2)either 6th grade camp when the girls flat out told me they didn't want me near them, or 2nd grade when david showed me his penis under the desk and i got in trouble for disrupting class.
3) john stamos.
4) i've never forgiven cassy for moving away in 8th grade.
5) unfortunately, most of the people i'm grateful for i've never said thank you to. i forget...

3. alasdair from "you can't do that on television"

1. Not when I wasn't playing a sport, or older than 10. Yes, lots of times, if you include those.
2. When Alfie got run over by a car. My mom never let us buy him those crappy dog treats that look like raw hamburger patties, except once, and when I rushed in the house to give him one, my oldest brother was crying at the kitchen table.
3. Eric Estrada.
4. Definitely. My college roommate. I want to, so bad. Her offense was relatively minor, but somehow I can't let go of that anger. It's completely irrational.
5. Mrs. Niemi, my high school English teacher. I've tried repeatedly to track her down. Best teacher ever. (Except also a creative writing teacher I had, who I've already thanked profusely, stalker-ish-ly, because she's also really attractive and I had a small girl-crush.)

Your answers?

December 4, 2008 at 9:08 AM

1. No
2. 6th grade teacher (whom everyone worshipped) was so snide to me and pulled my hair.
3. John Denver. Shut up. :)
4. George W. Bush
5. My dad. Too late now.
